Lately I have been recieveing errors on bootup whenever I choose to scan my harddrive that says that it is unable to have open direct disk access. Does anyone have any tips, fixes or suggestions? Thanks
More Information:
- As you have found out, running scandisk with Windows fully booted can take a long time
- I have run scandisk in Windows on the FAT32 partition to make sure there weren't any real filesystem problems and scandisk did not find anything
- Running Scandisk in Windows uncovers nothing more remarkable than a few lost clusters

- The disk has a great performance (the only difference is that it takes just a little more to re-start, because it tries to run scandisk, it fails, and
