Sir, my apologies for I had put this question in a different forum earlier.

I am running an appliction in SCO 5.6. If the records are more than one lakh, the output file is getting truncated to one lakh. Please help me in rectifying the issue whereby it allows creation of output with more than one lakh records.

regards

sastry

  1. This writer then also tried to open the OpenOffice-generated RTF file in AbiWord and was unable to so do too
  2. Thread ID: 233882 Margaret Duddy FoxPlus on SCO Unix - environment view I have an application running in FoxPlus in SCO Unix
  3. The last two fields are not always identifiable by DBFmeta due to truncation, and additionally other fields may become truncated so they no longer unique
  4. I used VFP6 to copy the file to a new one (type foxplus for compatibility) and VFP9 can now open the new file
  5. This article is somewhat specific for SCO OSR5, but will be useful for other Unix versions and for Linux if you ignore the os specific parts
  6. Yes, the "truncate" command can be used to remove some of the contents but the -s switch sets the "size" of the resulting file so "-s 0" means make the file 0 bytes
  7. `gzip' attempts to truncate only the parts of the file name longer than 3 characters
  8. These are used when decompressing the file with the -N option
