Installing (some other) Linux on Archos PMA400.

Greetings! I have an Archos PMA400, the famous Archos media player with some early qTopia version. I have a newbish question: is there any way to install something.... well.... better on it? Because I can't find software sompatible with it. Well, found several applications, but 99% of them doesn't even work, though they're installed perfectly. (These were packages .ipk, haven't seen any source versions of anything for compiling on PMA, not even sure if PMA can comile at all).

So, again, is there any way to install some other OS, well, some other Linux most probably, on the PMA?

    Thanks in advance

    Greetings,

    my first post.

    I just found this site

I don't know how much works on the PMA400. I have only had it a few days. But I have compiled and run a small C program. There is a cross-compiler that runs under Linux. I downloaded it but didn't bookmark it. I'm trying to find it.

    Found it.
