    How to convert FAT32 to NTFS ?

    I was wondering if there is someone here who has experience of taking from FAT32 to NTFS via Run -> cmd -> convert c: / fs: ntfs? I intend to do it in my way but is there some one here who have something to do here. So I would like to know if there is someone who knows about any good programs get to safety copy? I am using Windows XP SP2.

    You should defragment the disk after the conversion! There are many gaps between the files and the NTFS file system utilizes them.

    Try to use the command prompt, it will ask you to enter "the current volume label for drive C:". "the current volume label" is the name that appears under "My Computer". By default it is "Local Disk". You can change it or leave it as it is. That's it!
