    Dell s2309w dvi no signal coming from computer

    hi

    I have this Dell monitor with DVI input.I wanted to connect my xbox 360 to the monitor using a vga-DVI adapter so i bought adapter but now problem is the monitor not recognize the Input it just goes black into power saving mode.Can anyone help me to solve this?

    More Information:
    1. My Dell 19" wide-screen has a specific HDTV mode, and works fine with the HDTV signal coming out of my DirectTV HDTV tuner

    which adapter you are using to connect xbox ? because that need to supported by monitor the Xbox 360 output is not a DVI signal which is through the vga port so that does not perform any conversion. the adapter is not for each graphics adapters so problem is that.

    get a VGA extender and just switching them whenever i need to that is VGA to DVI-D adapter.That plugs into a DVI port and allows a 15 pin monitor cable to plug in. use VGA monitor with HD15 male connector to any computer with DVI-D port.
